Registered Nurse (RN) for 14 years, including 7 years in the NICU in Saint John. Specialized training in birth & reproductive trauma. Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with a focus on women’s reproductive mental health. Canadian Certified- Birth and Reproductive Trauma (CC-BRT).

Passionate about supporting parents through birth trauma, loss, NICU stays, and other perinatal challenges. Developed The Urquhart Program through conversations and interviews with parents in the community.

Strong focus on education, advocacy, and trauma-informed care. Presented on perinatal trauma-informed care to 280+ healthcare workers. Passionate about creating safer, more supportive, and accessible care for parents and families.

Background in education, child & family development, and mental health. Specializes in supporting individuals and families through the perinatal period. Specialized training in reproductive trauma.

Uses a warm, collaborative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach. Supports clients navigating pregnancy, birth, postpartum adjustment, loss, and the transition to parenthood. Over 10 years of experience supporting children and families through education.

Urquhart Program Counselling Intern

Krista Watson-Hare, BA, B.Ed, BMW is a current student intern in the Masters in Education (Counselling) program through UNB. With backgrounds in both Education and Midwifery, she is interested in providing supportive, compassionate care while using a more person-centered and collaborative approach to counselling as she grows and learns. She is passionate about perinatal mental health care and helping provide support to mothers and families throughout pregnancy, the postpartum, and beyond.

Provides low-cost & subsidized sessions in-person, virtually, or by phone.
