Lisa Johnson, BA, MEd, CCC, LCT-C, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Mount Allison University, New Brunswick teacher certification with training from the University of Maine at Machias, and a Master of Education degree in Counselling from the University of New Brunswick.
She is a Canadian Certified Counsellor since March 2019 with Canadian Counselling Psychotherapy Association and recently became a New Brunswick Licensed Counselling Therapist Candidate with the College of Licensed Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick in December 2021.
Lisa has many years of experience working with children, and teens including those with special needs and from that knowledge she uses an eclectic blend of theoretical approaches which include play therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, solution focused therapy, and interpersonal therapy.
Lisa works exclusively with those under 19 years old and welcomes a variety of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, grief & loss, substance abuse, self esteem, self harm, stress, sexuality, and relationship issues.
